3 Minute Performance Piece
Here is a video of an installation I made for my Time Studio class. It's a projection of a video/music I made onto hanging, layered sheets of mylar that have dried white acrylic paint spread on the surface.
I got the idea when I came across the artist David Spriggs (http://www.davidspriggs.com/index.html). He has managed to created many intruiging 3D pieces using mylar and acrylic. I thought the idea was exciting so I took the idea of layered transparencies and instead of trying to create a specific form I instead wanted to create an atmosphere.
The idea was to use the mylar as projection screens where different layers would catch various densities of light and create a 3D form of the moving paint that was projected on it. I was very happy with how it turned out and am interested in exploring it more in the future.

Here is how it looks in the light.

Photography
A little somethin somethin besides painting and drawing, I actually take more pictures than I paint, so I figured maybe it's something I can share with the people interested in my work. I'll try and post a photo every couple days since other works don't get posted as often.
Today I'll post a few old and new favorites just to give it a jump start.

At the state capital.

In the cemetery.

On the dragon's back.

At the police station.

At the top of a waterfall.
Just as a note, I don't manipulate the photos other than use different settings on the camera or cropping.
